PartnerING with Spokane Colleges Foundation

Our collaboration with Spokane Colleges Foundation began in 2018, when we filmed across both campuses to capture the Extraordinary Students video. It premiered at their final in-person Sip, Swirl, Savor gala before becoming the featured video on their homepage.

Since then, we’ve worked closely with the Foundation to update their image library, capturing students across a diverse range of programs and campuses. It’s been a privilege to document students pursuing their dreams through higher education, especially during their milestone 50th Anniversary, marking decades of impact and opportunity.

Joining the Impact

We believe in the Foundation’s work so much, that in 2022 we started a Rogue Heart scholarship and internship, which supports second-year SFCC Digital Filmmaking students. This collaboration is a meaningful way for us to give back to the Spokane community and support the next generation of nonfiction storytellers.

Annual Report Series

Recently, we were thrilled to film the Board President of the Foundation, as well as two scholarship recipients, to create custom videos linked in their Annual Report.

Impactful Photos

Over the last several years, we’ve collaborated with the Spokane Colleges Foundation’s team to create their own resonant photo collection. With a unique look and feel, these photos capture students’ successes and their work in various programs.

Our Scholarship Begins

Moved by our partnership and the impact of the Foundation’s work, Rogue Heart Media opened a scholarship to support nonfiction filmmakers at Spokane Falls Community College!

Life Hacks

During spring of 2020, at the start of the Covid lockdown, we partnered with the Foundation to edit student and faculty-filmed content to create a Life Hack series. The goal was to keep people focused on learning useful skills while in isolation, creating community through video!

The Chancellor Series

We were honored to interview then-Chancellor of the Community Colleges, Christine Johnson, to create a series of videos on the impact the district’s work, students, employees have in Eastern Washington.

Extraordinary Students

Over two days, we captured four featured student voices to showcase the impact Spokane Colleges Foundation’s scholarships and awards have. After the video premiered, we turned each student’s voice into it’s own unique video!
